  2. Jeff,

Thanks for tip. I will put your pizza request on the list. As I have a full workload of pizza reviews ahead of me in the next few weeks, I may not be able to get to it right away. However, if you ate there and would like to share a review before I get to it, please feel free to drop by and speak your mind.

  3. I've had Tacconelli's a lot. The Philly crust IS better. The sauce is kind of overcooked and the spices (especially garlic powder) are jarred industrial type. In Philly you can't even get a salad or order before noon they are so strict. When I was last in Maple Shade the waittress was tunnel-visioned, infuriating because I wanted to complain about my flavorless Caesar dressing and get some more.
All my friends who have had Tacconelli's and live in Trenton say DiLorenzo's (Trenton old and Robbinsville new locations) is better thin crust and sauce.

  6. YOU GOT TO TRY ROSARIO'S IN SOUTH PHILLY
What a terrific place! A friend who lives a few blocks away and I ordered dinner from here and it was truly wonderful. We ordered guacamole and chips, both homemade and good. Main course: Pizza La Mexicana - salsa verde, mozzarella cheese, chorizo topped with poblano peppers, roasted corn kernels & fresh avocado. Truly great. They clearly have someone making the pizzas there who understands the correct proportions of toppings and makes a great thin crust. I would have preferred a slightly crispier crust, but I'm someone who likes a little char on my pizza. We also split a piece of flan which is, hands down, the best piece of flan I've ever had. The top (you know, the part that is sort of like pudding skin?) was lovely and soft and both the texture and flavor of the flan were terrific. I'm dying to try more things - like the Rosario's Special Pizza red sauce, mozzarella cheese, ham, salami, chorizo, ground beef, mushrooms, green olives, green & red peppers. Pizzas come in 3 sizes - small, medium and large, which is also a plus. Am totally going to get food from here again.
